Women on the Way Recovery Center
Women on the Way Recovery Center (WOTW) was founded by Liz Mann in 1995, with a desire to provide a safe haven for women to experience love and find hope through the power of restoration and acceptance. WOTW has provided residential treatment services, sober living, mentorship, and discipleship throughout the history of the program. What started as an 8-bed facility has grown into the ability to provide services for 18 women and their families. WOTW believes that women coming together to build each other up and support each other through the reunification of their children, higher education, adequate employment and building a strong support group through the 12-step program and their own local church will provide the strength and courage to remain free from substance use, criminal activity and address mental health issues. The women we serve come from many backgrounds and have suffered from early childhood and adult trauma. As a resident of WOTW the women can now face their past and move on to a healthier and brighter future. WOTW partnerships include State Parole, Probation, Other Substance Use Disorder providers and Drug Courts in Alameda County. Supporting WOTW has a ripple effect for decades to come as the children of the women are also able to heal and grow into adulthood with healthier mindsets.
